Steady habits,
taught plainly
Angela Yender Health is a health education practice on the Western Slope. We teach everyday movement, walking, sleep, kitchen and breath habits in small workshops, in written guides and one to one, at the pace of a normal working week.
The foundation
Build a foundation that holds on an ordinary Tuesday
One educator, Angela Mary, runs this small practice and teaches every session herself. The syllabus is five everyday things: movement, walking, sleep, kitchen routines and breathing. They are ordinary on purpose, because an ordinary habit repeated beats an impressive one abandoned in February.
Most people arrive for one of three reasons: something has started to ache, the routine went missing during a hard year, or they are done with plans that ask for a different life. Whichever it is, the work starts from the smallest version that fits the week you actually have, and only then adds to it.
An honest line before anything else. This practice is education, not medical care. We teach habits and explain how they work; we do not diagnose, treat or manage any condition, and nothing on this website is medical advice. Your doctor stays part of the picture, and we will tell you when a question belongs with them rather than with us.
- Stairswithout a pause at the top to explain yourself
- A backthat survives a desk day and a drive home
- Eveningsthat end at a sensible hour, most nights
- A hard weekthat does not take a month to recover from
The five habits
Five everyday things, checked most days
Everything we teach sits inside these five habits. Each one is taught slowly, written down, and repeated until it no longer needs negotiating. Groups stay small enough that everyone is spoken to by name, and the written guide goes home with you so the session is not the only record of what was taught.
- Movement and walking taught at the level you choose
- Sleep habits with a plan for the broken week
- Kitchen routines and four slow breaths that actually stick
What a session looks like
A table, a mat, a kitchen or a trail. Nothing here needs equipment you do not already own, and nobody is asked to keep up with anybody else.
Take the first step, which is only an email
Tell us what your week actually looks like and we will say where to begin. If we are not the right people for what you need, we will say so in the first reply.
- Nothing to sign, nothing to commit to, no list to join
- Angela Mary answers enquiries personally, on weekdays

Or start right here: four counts, four rounds
The whole of the breathing practice we teach first. The circle expands for four seconds, holds for four, releases for four, holds for four. If it does not suit you, stop it; there is nothing to complete.
Ready when you are
Four in, four held, four out, four held
How the work goes
Two columns, and that is the whole method
What you can build
- A movement routine that survives a full working week
- A walk that gets longer without getting harder
- An evening that ends at the same hour most nights
- Four or five meals you can cook from memory
- A label you can read in ten seconds and put down
- A way to come down from a hard day that is not a screen
- Gravel, ice and a boat handled without thinking about your feet
- A one-page plan you wrote yourself and can argue with
Where to start
- Write or call. One email is enough. Tell us what you would like to be different in three months.
- We ask about your week. Work hours, the drive, who else is at home, and what already works.
- You get a written starting point. Two or three habits, the reason for each, and how often to repeat them.
- We come back to it. Sessions repeat the same habits until they are ordinary, then add the next one.
